Laureen has sent us this information (and very kind words) about her traditional American log cabin pattern of 12 inch light/dark blocks, which she has named Sunrise:
"The attached photos are just to show you what your fantabulous woven cotton fabrics have done for me.  Here is my latest Oakshott cotton quilt." LaureenBedell1 "I like your cottons which are astonishing in their depth of color and lustre.  They make quilting to my mind quite painterly.  Until I found your cotton I worked almost always in Japanese patterned fabrics.  Now I am finding a whole new dimension in plain vibrant colors, with a sheen to them that never quits." Gorgeous!!!! Did you use a particular “collection” of colors? Or did you pick and choose the individual colors? Just stunning!

I just love it. Oakshott is like a beautiful set of paints- it’s beyond beautiful and brings something remarkable to anything. Made with it. love your colors here!

I chose the colors myself from the fabulous palette that Oakshott weaves. I piece and quilt by hand so the “feel” of the Oakshott fabrics is particularly important to me. As are the wide assortment of beautiful colors, truly painterly, and the sheen of the woven fabrics.

I chose the colors myself from the marvelous palette of colors Oakshott weaves. That is the pleasure in working with Oakshott fabrics, besides the highest quality and sheen. The fun of painting with such a fabulous assortment of colors. I piece and quilt by hand, so the fabric is especially important to me. And I love working with Oakshott.
