Monika Huelsebusch in Germany has a wonderful eye for colour combinations and here's the evidence: 2015-05-MonikaH-GONE-1 Monica's accompanying email says:
Thank you for these beauties! I just want to say a big THANK YOU for your beautiful fabrics! The colors are so brilliant! I love how they go together. From a bundle of Fat Eighths of Ruby Reds and Metro I made this wall hanging (90 cm x 100 cm) with the name GONE. It reminds me of someone special.
and this photo really shows the texture; so thank you, Monika. 2015-05-MonikaH-GONE-2 Read more

Look at this fantastic example of how to make the most of the secret quality of the new Calluna collection. As designer Jutta Hufnagel of Quilt Around the World says:
"it shows the cool fact that you buy one length of fabric and actually have two colours at hand"
2014-7Konkret1This cushion uses Calluna Erica for the pink/purple and Lipari in grey and black. Jutta is offering the PDF pattern for FREE during August from her website. The design was inspired by the German Bauhaus architects and artists. Read more

(In German at bottom) [caption id="attachment_148" align="aligncenter" width="300"]Using Lakes and Tweed Using Lakes and Tweed[/caption] We had a chat with Nina about how she keeps up her inspiration for the amazing collection of quilts she magics up in beautiful Bavaria, the southern part of Germany, some 130 km north-east of Munich. It turns out she only started quilting in 2009:
since when I keep attending classes with Claudia Pfeil, the well known German quilt artist in Krefeld. My curiosity led me to the quilt festival in Houston, Texas, where I came to know the style of Sue Patten and Jamie Wallen. I never run out of new ideas. [caption id="attachment_146" align="aligncenter" width="150"]Ruby Reds and grey Ruby Reds and grey[/caption]   Three years ago the online-store 1001quiltstiche (quilt stitches) was added, and this is how I came to know and love the beautiful Oakshott fabrics. I sew quilts to decorate my stalls at fairs. Unfortunately there is not enough time to make more as I´m always excited about the stunning effect of these iridescent fabrics. [caption id="attachment_149" align="aligncenter" width="150"]At the fair At the fair[/caption] Under the name 1001quilt you can find my Longarm Quilt Service in Ratisbon (Regensburg). On my APQS Millennium I quilt tops as wide as 270 cm. There are no limits to quilting designs, depending on style and appearance of the quilt top and  according to my clients' preferences I choose an appropriate design. I work freehand and with stencils.
Our mouth watered at the range of quilts you can see in her colourful gallery. Thanks for sharing Nina and nice to meet your helpmate: [caption id="attachment_147" align="aligncenter" width="300"]Quilting cat Quilting cat[/caption] [expand title="1001quilt - Longarm Quilt Service, Nina Reingruber"] Unter dem Namen 1001quilt findet man meinen Longarm Quiltservice in Regensburg im schönen Bayern, ca. 130 km nordöstlich von München.
