Blue Barn is owned and operated by Linda Timms. Born and raised a city girl, she dreamed of moving to the country, where she now lives with her family by the North Saskatchewan River. And yes, they do have two blue barns on their beautiful farm!

Linda has been a quilter for over 20 years. What started out as wanting to make just one quilt became a passion (or obsession, depending on who you ask!).

" I am wife to the talented builder of the timber frame blue barns on our farm and mom to four wonderful grown up kids. Blue Barn Quilt Co. came about as I started into a new chapter as all my kids were leaving home. It is a blessing and joy to have quilting as such an integral part of my life. I have taught many family members and friends how to quilt over the years. Many hours have been spent learning with a wide variety of talented teachers like Angela Walters (longarm quilter extraordinaire), Karen K Stone (award winning colour guru) and with the super talented Victoria Findlay Wolf in NYC. I love to learn and am always seeking new opportunities to expand my knowledge. "

Buying a longarm quilting machine in 2016, Linda began to enjoy learning to finish up her quilts. She is proud to have earned the Fons and Porter Certified Longarm Quilting Studio status, having completed the APQS course in free motion quilting.
