If you're a fan of Deborah Kemball, then January's issue of Popular Patchwork is one you can't afford to miss. It features a fascinating Q&A with Deborah, plus a great reader offer.
Deborah Kemball has become well-known for her bold and beautiful appliqué using silks and shot cottons in her signature style. In this piece she talks about her love of embellishments and why appliqué was an unusual choice given her energetic nature.
Speaking about her forthcoming pattern pack and her relationship with Oakshott, she says
Floral Abundance Quilt grew out of a project we worked on together a few years ago. Michael sent me a collection of fabrics that inspired me to design the first Floral Abundance quilt in soft pastels, which was a rather uncharacteristic palette for me... I have recently made a second version in brights with my more signature red background, which I love in equal measure.
Deborah's new pattern pack, Floral Abundance Quilt, is published in February and will be available from Amazon.
