Yearning for Summer Light & Warmth? Here's the Answer

Such a thrill to bring you our latest project from one of Germany's leading designers: meet Flower Bed by Monika Huelsebusch. We're honoured that Monika has long been an Oakshott aficionado, joining us in person at the Festival of Quilts and a regular visitor to our retail partner Quilt Cabin in Dortmund.

Talking about her inspiration, Monika tells us:

During the dark winter months, we yearn for the longer daylight hours and sunshine to come and warm the garden, opening the young leaves in vivid greens - a wonderful backdrop to early summer blooms. Whilst we're waiting, what better way to bring colour and light into your home than with this bright Flower Bed quilt? Oh, by the way, did I mention that I simply love red? :-)

Hence Monika's choice of our Ruby Reds for the petals, combined with Scandinavia Stockholm for the flower centres, all set against a vibrant background of Lipari Pirrerra. And not to mention the exquisite quilting which completes the picture! Flower Bed is available now as a Pack 'n Pattern.
