Red Circles in Red Squares III

It's gotta be red

Every project has a story and we love them as much as we know you do. Visiting us at the Festival of Quilts, Jane Wheeler told us how her fabulous Red Circles in Red Squares III came into being:

The quilt was made for my daughter who lives in Western Australia. It was inspired by a painting she has by Matt Johnson, an Australian artist of British origin. When we visited her in 2012, I looked at the painting and felt it was a quilt waiting to happen, especially as I had seen your recently introduced Ruby Red fabrics just prior to the trip. Red just happens to be my favourite colour. You can see the quilt and its inspiration at home in Fremantle WA.

On another occasion, commissioned to make a baby quilt, Jane stuck with her favourite Ruby Reds, combining them with Colourshott Camargue. Well, there was a specific request:

No baby pastel colours

Baby quilt  We think she met the brief!
