I am inspired by color and simple designs. What I look for in fabric is both quality and color; variety of colors available, color saturation, and a soft hand. Once I get a working understanding of how the fabric handles - how it sews, irons, and the way the quilting stitches nest into the fabric - I can make an informed decision with regard to how and when I use the fabric.
