My completed heart wall hanging.  I decided to make it a bit bigger and add a border of one inch squares of the ruby reds.  I used a piece of Liberty Wiltshire for the binding.

I saw the pattern called Jewels on Elly Prins Homepage and had to make it from Sorbet and Camargue – the best way to show of Sorbet I can imagine.

My first try on Jacobs Ladder with scraps from orange, red and violet shades from my stash.

Even when you outphased Longshott, I got 2 Fat Eighths packs from Quilt Cabin and made Longshott Butterflies with them – a quilt I so much enjoyed making!

Before I moved to France and when I was a member of Montpellier Quilters I heard Julia tell of the match between Oakshott fabrics and Liberty prints so when a friend asked me to make her a quilt that is what I used.  My friend is not a quilter but I wanted her to be part of the process so we spent a joyful afternoon scrolling through your website choosing fabrics. I thought you might like to see the finished quilt and know that it was inspired by Julia.

My wall hanging size quilt that I made with the
bundle. It used 6 of the fabrics from an Allium bundle plus a few yardage
cuts. The background is Kona Pepper.

PieceFabric Co in Canada released a quilt kit that paired Oakshott
and Kona for a pattern by Canadian designer Christine from Tessellate Textiles.

I am making the Double Ruby Ring quilt blocks designed by Michelle Bartholomew. I am using Kaffe Fassett stripes in the middle just to give me a color palette for each block and then using my precious scraps for the rest of the block. The curved piecing was a little tricky at first to do via English paper piecing, but I'm in the rhythm now and the blocks are going more quickly. I think they are stunning.

 

Heres the little quilt (20” square), made using the fabrics I bought from you recently!

It was for an exhibition by New Horizons Textile Group called Home.

The design is taken from a photograph I took of my late husband David’s welded metal sculptures standing on top of my bookcase. I abstracted the image by using an app called Prisma and the Mondrian feature within it. David kept them hidden in a box for nearly 50 years and we talked about displaying them in our new home.

I’m pleased to tell you that Connections is going on tour across the US with the Best of QuiltCon 2022 exhibit!  

Graynotes

I am so intrigued with how neutrals (grays) affect colors. I love all the degrees of gray offered by Oakshott. I chose a variety of colors to see how they played off against three values of gray. This quilt just asked to be made!
