LIMITED EDITION: Each individual shade in these eight pairings is subtly different. By weaving two similar weft colours against a single warp thread we've created pairs of complementary tones.

Sandie is primarily known for traditional wholecloth patterns and quilts. Here however, she takes relatively simple motifs and repeats them to create larger patterns. Our Alpines inspired her to make the cushion as well as the Tutti Frutti Cot Quilt (image 3).

"The colours reminded me of ice cream! 

I thought it would be interesting to make a pattern that follows simple patchwork shapes, but also looks good as a wholecloth quilt."
